Afton, VA, June 6, 2006: The Complete Exam announces an exclusive relationship with MacPractice, Inc. and the MacPractice Practice Consultants to provide its singular Windows product, The Complete Exam, on the Macintosh platform. The companies are also co-developing a Mac OS X native version of The Complete Exam incorporated into MacPractice DDS, the premiere practice management and clinical software for dentists on the Macintosh.
"The Complete Exam is mature software, generations ahead of every other dental charting application. It is truly the Best of Class and the only 3D product available to dentists today. We are very excited to pair our Best of Class MacPractice DDS with TCE to offer a complete, first class solution today! And the developers from our companies are enthusiastically building TCE charting right into our Universal OS X MacPractice DDS for future release," says Mark Hollis, President of MacPractice, Inc.
The MacPractice DDS/TCE solution requires a Mac Intel with Parallels' Desktop for Mac and Windows XP Pro. A dentist will use MacPractice and TCE simultaneously in the operatory. The programs integrate seamlessly. A click on an icon in MacPractice opens or creates a new patient chart in TCE. A click in TCE sends treatment plan and procedures and returns to the patient in MacPractice for checkout.
"I was a bit skeptical of our software running on a Mac, having tried it before without success. After installing it on a Mac Mini Core Duo, I was blown away by the speed and graphics performance! It's considerably faster than on my Windows PC! I am really excited about combining our excellent clinical and charting capabilities with the excellent practice management capabilities of MacPractice, and running the whole system on Macs," says Jay Altman, President and Founder, The Complete Exam.
MacPractice DDS/TCE will be demonstrated at the Florida National Dental Convention, June 15-17 in the MacPractice booth. Special introductory pricing is available now from MacPractice for this solution.
MacPractice is hosting Apple Store events throughout the US until June 21 when special Introductory Pricing and other special incentives terminate!
