Lincoln, NE, May 27, 2009 - MacPractice, Inc., the developer of MacPractice MD, MacPractice DDS, MacPractice DC, and MacPractice 20/20, the leading practice management and clinical applications for Mac, has collaborated with mBox, the developer of AutoRemind, to enhance its joint offering.
AutoRemind is a powerful automated reminder system for a physician's, dentist's, chiropractor's, and optometrist's office. AutoRemind is seamlessly integrated with MacPractice's applications to create a real-time communication channel to mBox's reminder servers. MacPractice users may automatically remind their patients via any individual combination of voice calls, email, and/or text messaging (SMS).
In a new release today, MacPractice added a timesaving feature permitting the patient to automatically confirm an appointment in the MacPractice user's calendar by responding to instructions provided in their voice mail, email or SMS reminder.
"An essential business task of every successful practice is keeping the office schedule full and up-to-date. A very important, frequently frustrating part of that task is confirming appointments every day. We are very excited to offer, together with mBox, a new way to completely automate this process, saving staff and patients time, and simplifying a visit to a doctor," stated Mark Hollis, President of MacPractice.
An initial group of MacPractice users are using AutoRemind with the automated appointment confirmation feature. After initial testing, MacPractice will make the AutoRemind interface available to all MacPractice users.
Physicians, dentists, chiropractors, and eye doctors are encouraged to view QuickTime demonstration movies of MacPractice software by registering at MacPractice.com. 2500 doctor's offices, amounting to more than 16,000 users, have chosen MacPractice to provide their practice management and clinical software and technical support.
