MacPractice Imaging with OsiriX DICOM Viewer Announced

Lincoln, NE, May 12, 2008 - MacPractice, Inc., the leading Mac practice management and clinical applications, company and developer of MacPractice MD, MacPractice DDS, MacPractice DC, and MacPractice 20/20, announces MacPractice Imaging, a new integrated Ability for MacPractice MD, DC and 20/20 users, with optional OsiriX - DICOM Viewer capability.

For MacPractice DDS users who wish to use the OsiriX - DICOM Viewer to view their digital x-rays and other dental images, MacPractice has also has made that option available with MacPractice DR (Digital Radiography and photos).

"MacPractice Imaging is the first imaging solution for Mac users that is fully integrated with medical and chiropractic practice management software," says Mark Hollis, President of MacPractice. "Of course 2D and 3D DICOM images may be viewed in MacPractice Imaging and MacPractice DR leveraging Apple Core Image technology, but the thousands of doctors who use OsiriX can now access images from within their patient's record, and have one integrated solution for medical records, billing, scheduling, and communications, making it possible for the entire office to collaborate effectively."

Introductory pricing for MacPractice Imaging and MacPractice DR is $1500 plus an annual fee for support and updates of $200. This provides an office with the same number of simultaneous users of Imaging and DR as they have a license for MacPractice MD, DDS, DC, or 20/20. The OsiriX -DICOM Viewer capability option is an additional $1000.

Direct Mac interfaces and bridges to third party PC solutions are available for an additional fee. MacPractice offers a direct Mac interface to Planmeca panoramic and cephalometric x-ray equipment and Ethernet x-ray sensors.

Doctors are encouraged to view QuickTime demonstration movies of MacPractice Imaging and MacPractice DR with optional OsiriX - DICOM Viewer capability, and MacPractice MD, DDS, DC, or 20/20 after registering at MacPractice.com.
