MacPractice 3.1 Release

Lincoln, NE December 4, 2007 - MacPractice, Inc., developer of MacPractice MD, MacPractice DDS, MacPractice DC, and MacPractice 20/20, the leading Mac practice management and clinical software applications, announces the release of MacPractice 3.1.

MacPractice 3.1 requires MySQL 5 and provides Leopard and Tiger compatibility, reducing the cost of implementation for existing Mac users. All new purchasers of MacPractice will receive the new version.

MacPractice 3.1 increases the potential number of simultaneous MacPractice users to 50, with the caveat that installations of 25 or more simultaneous users must use a Mac Pro or better as a dedicated server. Offices with less than 25 users are still not required to have a dedicated server although performance of the new MacPractice Server application in MacPractice 3.1 will be enhanced if they choose to do so.

All MacPractice users with a current support contract are entitled to MySQL 5 and MacPractice 3.1 and will be updated over the next several months. Those MacPractice users who purchase new MacPractice Abilities that require the update will be updated first.

"We look forward to supporting all of our clients on the same version of MacPractice again in just a few months. We are very happy that clients will not have to update their hardware and operating system to update to MacPractice 3.1. And we want every MacPractice user, new and old, to be able to take advantage of the new Abilities we announce this week and in the next few weeks," said Mark Hollis, President of MacPractice.

1900 offices have chosen MacPractice to provide their practice management software and technical support. MacPractice supports 400 DentalMac, MediMac, and ChiroMac users.
