MacPractice References

MacPractice References is a group of tables of information used repetitively with respect to patients.

References include referring doctors, fee schedules, insurance companies and plans and the allowed fee schedule for each plan, medications, employers, etc.

MacPractice References are not just tables of information that can be added to conveniently in the course of patient data entry or charge posting as in most practice management programs. With an innovation called "the drawer," the selection of a record in a MacPractice Reference can display practice information instantaneously, e.g select a referrer, and instantly view patients referred by him/her with procedures and balances, or select a procedure or diagnosis and view patients with the selected procedure or diagnosis, or select an insurance plan or company and see all assigned patients.

A group of patients created in the drawer by the selection of a reference record may be dragged to a MacPractice Notes template to auto-generate personalized letters or postcards. For example, everyone who is on a particular medication may be sent a letter in an instant.
